Hey! I’m Danielle Anderson. I have 10+ years of experience in strategy design, product development, and business management with Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan and HSBC in New York, Chicago and London. Management would come to me with new business ideas, and it was my job to pull all of the pieces together to make it all happen.
I love the type of work I did, but eventually became dissatisfied by the environment I has to do it in.
I started Step & Stone in 2013 after throwing in the towel on my “successful” career in financial services and following my own passion to help others build sustainable businesses, doing work they love.
I know how tough it is to start a business.
Even though I had 10 years of previous business experience, there was a lot of new stuff to learn. Plus knowing isn’t enough. I also had to learn how to apply it all in my own business. 6 x 1 hour one-to-one Skype calls with me (2 per month) to create solid foundations for your business, from defining your ideal customer, piloting your products and services, working out your finances, and crafting a crystal clear message
A focus sheet to help you reflect on your progress and keep on track
Resources and support documents for each step so you know how to implement everything and re-use these tools in the future
Access to my network which includes likeminded entrepreneurs – people who have been in your shoes and will share their experience with you – plus other business support professionals if necessary

The whole process works like this –
To guarantee that you get the most out of our time together, I have to make sure we’re a perfect fit for each other.
So first, you book a consultation.
I’ll be in touch within 48 business hours to schedule some time for us to chat over Skype. Usually we can get this booked in within the week. We’ll talk through where you’re currently at and answer questions you may have.
If we’re both good to go, we’ll book in your first session and you’ll set up your payment through PayPal or mPesa (I’ll give you instructions on how to do this).
You’ll receive your checklist to complete before your first session. Plan ahead for this because it could take up to an hour to work through.
Our sessions will always take place over Skype, last for an hour, and be scheduled every 2-3 weeks. At the end of each session, you’ll have actions to work on before our next session.
On the morning of each subsequent session, you’ll send me an updated checklist and a focus sheet to reflect on your progress since we last spoke. To get the most of each session, you should allocate at least 30 minutes for this.
During these one-to-one calls we will work on defining your ideal customer and really understand what they NEED, launching your products and services, crafting your unique story, and working out your finances.
